This cotton fabric is knitted on historic machines at Salhus Tricotagefabrik in Salhus, Norway. The machines date from the 1930s and 1950s and are still in use today, giving the fabric a distinctive quality and a strong connection to textile history.
The interlock knitting technique creates natural elasticity without the use of synthetic fibers. The result is a soft and flexible fabric made from 100% cotton, with comfortable stretch and a smooth feel.
The cotton fibers are grown in Turkey, spun into yarn by Olcese Ferrari in Italy, and then knitted locally in Salhus.
We recommend pre-washing the fabric before use, as it may shrink approximately 5%.
