Beautiful wild sheep skins from the Heathland Centre and Lygra.
The official name of the wild sheep is Old Norse sheep (Latin: Ovis brachyura Borealis) and they are also called Stone Age sheep or Viking sheep. The wild sheep on Lygra is outside all year and graze in the coastal heathlands. These lively sheep have fine, soft underwool and a bit coarser top wool.
The wool for the wild sheep is two-parted with fine bottom wool and coarser top wool, and comes in different colors.
